Tara E. Seger is an educator, author, and professional development facilitator with more than two decades of experience in public education. She serves as a social studies educator at Scituate High School and has supported students, educators, and communities through curriculum development, teacher mentoring, and professional learning initiatives. Her work focuses on helping educators navigate complex historical and contemporary topics while fostering inquiry, empathy, civic engagement, and global awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seger has presented nationally and internationally on social studies education, global learning, navigating challenging classroom conversations, and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Her professional experiences include work with the Rhode Island Department of Education as a curriculum reviewer, service on the RIDE Social Studies Advisory Committee, and leadership in school improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to her work in education, Seger serves as vice president of global sales at Revaluate180, where she advances workplace wellness, professional development, and values-based learning initiatives. Through Revaluate180, she supports educators, organizations, and students through career exploration and professional development centered on core values, decision making, and unconscious bias. Her work includes targeted career advisement for high school and college students designed to help individuals better understand their strengths, motivations, and alignment with future pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seger is the author of Refugee Realities: Voices From The Middle East<\/em>, a resource designed to support educators in addressing refugee experiences and current events through Understanding by Design frameworks, guiding questions, vocabulary development, and instructional strategies. She graduated from URI with degrees in education and history. She also holds a master\u2019s in school administration from Providence College. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Seger was recognized as the Susan B.
