Henry Del Angelo is a school counselor at Joel Barlow High School in Redding, Connecticut. He also established Del Angelo Consulting, LLC, and launched Your Key to College in 2008. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With over thirty-five years of experience at the high school level as a classroom teacher, administrator, and school counselor, Del Angelo has successfully worked with students from diverse backgrounds during this critical time. He has met with hundreds of college admissions counselors, visited campuses around the country, and has developed a deep knowledge base upon which to draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Del Angelo was named one of The Princeton Review’s 20 School Counselors Who Make a Difference. He has served on The Princeton Review’s Counselor Advisory Board since 2018 and is currently a member of the counselor advisory boards of Bryant University and the University of Pittsburg, Miami University, Lynn University, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Del Angelo also served as a Yale University Center for Emotional Intelligence Change Maker Fellow from September 2018 to May 2019 and was selected “Best College Counselor” by Fairfield Magazine in 2018, 2019, and 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Del Angelo is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) and the New England Association of College Admissions Counselors (NEACAC). He is a past faculty member for three NEACAC Rising Leaders Summer Programs and participated for three years as a faculty member for the NEACAC Summer Institute. In this role he serves as a mentor to school counselors and college admissions professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Del Angelo holds a B.S. in Secondary Education and taught social studies before earning an M.Ed. in School Counseling and Guidance from Providence College. After several years as a high school counselor, Del Angelo returned to school and received his sixth professional Diploma of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University.
