Stay out of the wind and stay dry. Also, remember to check on young children and the elderly who are the most sensitive to cold weather.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect Pets: Bring outdoor pets inside or give them a warm shelter to stay in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect Plants: Cover cold-sensitive plants to protect them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect Pipes: Cover pipes and allow outdoor faucets to slowly drip to prevent freezing and breaking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice Fire Safety: Only use safe heating sources indoors.
