Dedicated staff provide one-on-one coaching, skill-building workshops, and networking events throughout the year to support students as they explore internships, research opportunities, full-time positions, and graduate school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">Highlights include two annual career fairs, the ITR300 internship preparation course, and a weekly careers newsletter. These real-world experiences are essential for success in engineering careers after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most students complete internships during the summer for pay rather than academic credit. In fact, 99% of students who completed internships in 2022, 2023, and 2024 were paid for their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Full-Time Job Search<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">Engineering students at URI receive personalized support as they prepare for life after graduation. Whether you&#8217;re entering the workforce or continuing on to graduate school, the Engineering Student Success Center staff are here to help you every step of the way &#8211; from exploring your options to accepting your first offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">Graduates from the College of Engineering are highly sought after &#8211; <strong>97%<\/strong> are employed in their field or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">Career services include one-on-one advising, job search strategies, resume reviews, and mock interviews. Students also have access to career exploration tools such as <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/advising\/advising-by-major\/\">What Can I Do With This Major?<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/ooh\/\">Occupational Outlook Handbook<\/a>, as well as detailed data on job titles, employers, and salary outcomes by major.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Graduate School Pathways<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">Many engineering students at URI choose to continue their education after graduation, pursuing advanced degrees such as a Master\u2019s (M.S.), Doctorate (Ph.D.), MBA, or even M.D. Our FastTrack: Accelerated B.S.\/M.S. Degrees option is also very popular with students. If you\u2019re considering graduate school, it\u2019s a good idea to start early &#8211; especially if you plan to pursue research-intensive programs or a Ph.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/engineering\/people\/#studentsuccess\">Engineering Student Success Center<\/a> offers guidance and support for all graduate pathways.
