Administered in collaboration with the Technical University (TU) of Braunschweig and the Technical University (TU) of Darmstadt in Germany, the University of Technology of Compi\u00e8gne (UTC) in Compi\u00e8gne, France, the University of Cantabria (UNICAN) in Santander, Spain, and Parthenope University in Naples, Italy, these dual master’s programs enable students to complete simultaneous engineering master\u2019s degrees from both institutions over a two-year period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this plan, University of Rhode Island master\u2019s degree students in any engineering graduate program (Germany and France), in Ocean Engineering (Spain) and in Mechanical\/Industrial and Systems Engineering (Italy) complete the first full year, or approximately one half of the master\u2019s program, in Rhode Island, and then spend the second year of the program as a full-time student at the partner institution abroad. All work completed satisfactorily abroad is recognized by both the host and home universities, thus enabling students to complete degree requirements in Germany, France, Spain or Italy and in Rhode Island. This international option can also serve as an opportunity for students to explore additional focus areas related to their academic interests that may not be currently available at URI, allowing them to maximize the impact of their graduate studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
