This program provides commercialization training, mentorship, and non-dilutive funding to help early-stage ventures advance cutting-edge solutions in areas such as sensors, robotics, coastal resilience, aquaculture, marine carbon, and water quality\u2014closely aligned with the College\u2019s Targeted Research Themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"fullwidth\"><strong>Program Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list fullwidth\">\n<li>Four-stage progression serving up to 220 ventures over four years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stage 0 (Optional): Introductory virtual workshop covering commercialization fundamentals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stage 1:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7-week virtual training + 3-day in-person workshop hosted at URI\u2019s Narragansett Bay Campus and CIC Providence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$15,000 non-dilutive Technology Development &amp; Commercialization (TDC) award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to technical experts, venture mentors, and customer discovery resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By participating in the Ocean Enterprise Accelerator through URI, ventures gain:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list fullwidth\">\n<li>Access to state-of-the-art research labs and facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaboration with expert faculty and research centers in ocean engineering and technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A dynamic coastal environment for real-world technology testing and demonstration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entry into URI\u2019s regional innovation ecosystem focused on the Blue Economy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/venturewell.org\/ocean-enterprise-accelerator-apply\/\">Learn More &amp; Apply<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Rhode Island College of Engineering is proud to partner with VentureWell to host the NOAA-funded Ocean Enterprise Accelerator, a national initiative designed to help innovators bring ocean and coastal technologies to market.
