He specializes on model-based software development (Simulink) of automation and control algorithms for non-automotive applications (energy sector &#8211; wind turbine automation and control).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erik is a graduate of the International Engineering Program, &#8217;02, German &amp; Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation he joined the ZF International Trainee Program, rotating through various divisions at ZF in Friedrichshafen and Passau in 2002-03. He was hired as a project engineer by ZF Lemf\u00f6rder Fahrwerktechnik GmbH &amp; Co KG and worked there until 2006. Erik then pursued a dual Master\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering at URI in 2008 and in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in mechatronics at TU Braunschweig in &#8217;09.
