Perusing the textbook and moving through the motions, I often wondered about the value of what we were learning.&#8221; The essay then discusses how he explored &#8211; and we might as well &#8211; solutions to this issue in his composition classroom: &#8220;[t]eachers should not avoid teaching the process model of writing.
