Researchers in the department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics are exploring the economic impacts for the nation\u2019s first wind farm on energy industries, fisheries, recreational choices and local tourism, they have created a model for other communities around the world to follow. Department researchers are also exploring the development of area solar farms and how they affect neighboring property values. Other research focuses on addressing environmental justice issues and generating public acceptance of renewable energy projects with community benefits agreements between energy developers and hosting communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
