Alternative (Private) Loans are privately-funded loans available to students and parents. We strongly suggest that students exhaust their Federal Loan eligibility before applying for an alternative loan. In partnership with URI, the ELM Select web site below provides a list of lenders based upon their historical lending with our students. Students and their parents/guardians have the right and ability to select the education loan provider of their choice, and are not required to use any of the lenders listed. If you wish to use another lender that is not on this list, you have the right to do so. Please note that information on this site may not be updated or timely. Be sure to read carefully final loan agreements and promissory notes to understand their payment terms and other obligations. For more information visit: Alternative Loans

BankMobile is the refund management division of Customers Bank, which is the financial institution with whom we have partnered to distribute refunds. All students will be sent a refund selection kit by mail following orientation. This packet will include information about your refund delivery options, and a unique Personal Code. Using their own Personal Code, students will access a website where they can select how they want to receive their refunds. There are 3 choices: (1) funds can be deposited to their own bank account via ACH, (2) funds can be deposited to a BankMobile Vibe online checking account, or (3) funds can be issued by paper check and mailed via USPS. Learn more about BankMobile.

URI uses electronic billing (e-Bills) as its official billing method for tuition and fee invoices. Students can access their e-Bill Portal, and view/pay their e-Bills online via e-Campus. Students can also invite other payers, such as a parent, to access their e-Bill Portal and view/pay their e-Bills. When a term bill is ready for viewing, the student and all invited payers will receive an email notification which directs them to log in and open the e-Bill. Paper invoices will not be mailed, however; invoices can be printed from the e-Bill Portal. Electronic payments are encouraged, but a payment coupon can be printed from the e-Bill Portal for those who prefer to pay by mailing a check.
Fall e-Bills will be generated in mid-July and payment will be due during the third week of August. Please note that tuition and fee charges are based on actual enrollment, so adding and dropping courses may cause changes in your bill.
-
Yes! Students are invited to enroll in our monthly tuition payment plan which allows families to pay their annual tuition and fee expenses in 8, 9, or 10 monthly installments, depending on the date of plan enrollment. The plan runs from June 1st through October 1st for the Fall semester, and from November 1st through March 1st for the Spring semester. Please note that because the plan begins before the actual semester invoices are posted, it is necessary to set up your payment plan with estimated figures. Once the e-Bill is available in July, families can compare their estimates to the actual billed costs, and make adjustments to their plan as needed.
