Six of the 18 credits are the required courses and the remaining are elective courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Required core courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LAR 201: Survey of Landscape Architecture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LAR 202: Origins of Landscape Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to these courses, completion of nine credits of elective courses from the following list is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CPL 410: Fundamentals of Community Planning Practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CPL 538: Site Planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LAR 350: Sustainable Communities of the 21st Century<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LAR 353: Landscape Plants I<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LAR 354: Landscape Plants II<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PLS 320: Landscape Design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PLS 350: Herbaceous Garden Plants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/espd\/meet\/jane-buxton\/\" data-type=\"people\" data-id=\"2771\">Jane Buxton<\/a>, Landscape Architecture Program Director<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The minor in Landscape Architecture is for students who wish to expand their knowledge of human intervention on the landscape while completing their education at URI.
