We don&#8217;t expect students to have any research experience going into the program.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What if I don&#8217;t know what I want to do after graduation?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>That&#8217;s okay! Part of the URI ESTEEMED program is to allow students time to pursue various biomedical science-related topics and research to determine the best path for them.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can I have another job while participating in URI ESTEEMED?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No, students will typically not be allowed to work another job during the academic year while participating in ESTEEMED due to the academic and program expectations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How many hours will I need to commit to the program each week during the academic year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Students will typically spend 10-15 hours a week on program activities, including weekly meetings, advising meetings, required study group sessions, ESTEEMED courses, and research.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How long is the duration of the program?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The program will last during students&#8217; freshmen and sophomore years.
