Dionizio joined the University of Rhode Island\u2019s Department of External Relations and Communications in 2014 as a web and print editor for the Publications and Creative Services team. As editor, her responsibilities include collaborating with the department\u2019s production staff, graphic designers, photographers, and outside vendors to create high-quality and accurate print and online materials for the University, including the digital newsletters <em>URI News<\/em> and <em>URI Events<\/em>, several department and college digital newsletters, annual reports, brochures, event-promotion supporting materials, and the <em>University of Rhode Island Magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>She is a 1991 summa cum laude graduate of URI, earning a bachelor&#8217;s degree in journalism, with a minor in public relations. A recipient of the University\u2019s President\u2019s Award for Student Excellence in journalism and a former assistant news editor of <em>The Good 5 Cent Cigar<\/em>, Dina began her career in public relations, marketing, and advertising, working for several Rhode Island-based firms including David P. Monti Advertising &#038; Public Relations; Fern\/Hanaway\/Monti &#038; Partners; and The RDW Group. One of her early clients was URI\u2019s College of Continuing Education, where she helped promote its programs and move to the historic Shepard Building in downtown Providence.
