In an effort to meet the growing demand for a large workforce of talented STEM professionals in the region, our program supports engineering students pursuing Navy-related careers by connecting them with valuable research and professional development opportunities. We also inspire students at the K-12 level to begin exploring naval science and technology through hands-on learning experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Showcasing STEM college and career connections early and often is critical to ensuring all students can imagine a variety of future careers for themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through multiple funding sources and a research collaboration among GEMS-Net, the College of Engineering at the University of Rhode Island, and the School of Engineering at UCONN, we have developed resources to address STEM workforce development needs.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
