Biography

Charlie Flores-Angel (he/they) is a junior majoring in History from San Diego, CA. As the Trans Inclusion Specialist, Charlie works on updating and implementing the Trans Inclusion Committee Report, which will push URI towards being a more inclusive and safe campus for trans and gender non-conforming individuals. He is also one of the co-facilitators for the Trans and Nonbiary Support Group. Charlie is passionate about the way intersecting identities affect individuals and strives to encourage and provide multifaceted perspectives on civic issues, especially dealing with the LGBTQ+ community. Outside of the work, Charlie can be often found in the Makerspace spending time with friends and promoting Gender and Sexuality Center events. He has a passion for literature, linguistic anthropology, music, nature, and cooking.
