Biography

Lucia Caito (she/her) is the Creative Marketing Specialist at the Gender and Sexuality Center. She is a sophomore majoring in English and Human Development and Family Science and minoring in Social Justice and Civic Responsibilities. Her job is to create content for the Center’s social media platforms that encourages community and educates our audience. She co-runs Gal Pals with Katie Riedy, a guided group that welcomes anyone who wants to learn about feminism, queer issues, and intersectionality through queer womens’ lenses. Additionally, Lucia cataloged every book in the GSC’s library (over 500 books!) and is organizing the books via a call system that she created specifically for the Center. She has experience in civic engagement, having chaired an international event that brought high school students together to tackle real-world problems with the help of mentors, experts, and policy leaders.
