A little over a year later, on May 6th, 2015, we opened our doors for the first time.&nbsp;This was a&nbsp;$2.1 million, 4,300 square foot&nbsp;project approved by President Dooley in the Fall of 2011.&nbsp;URI is the first institution of higher education in the country to design and build a free standing Gender and Sexuality Center.
