If you are a new arrival, be sure to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/sunapsis.uri.edu\/istart\/controllers\/start\/StartEngine.cfm\">online check-in process on Sunapsis<\/a> when you arrive to campus. The University is required to report your arrival to the Department of Homeland Security within 30 days of the start of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Keep in mind<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Always keep your I\u201020 or DS\u20102019 form up to date &#8212; notify OISS of any changes to information listed on the form.<\/li><li>&nbsp;If you need more time to complete your program, <a href=\"https:\/\/sunapsis.uri.edu\/istart\/controllers\/start\/StartEngine.cfm\">request an extension<\/a> of your I\u201020 or DS\u20102019 at least 30 days before it expires.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sunapsis.uri.edu\/istart\/controllers\/start\/StartEngine.cfm\" data-type=\"URL\">Get a travel signature<\/a> from the Office of International Students &amp; Scholars before any travel outside the US.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sunapsis.uri.edu\/istart\/controllers\/start\/StartEngine.cfm\">Report the arrival of your dependents<\/a> to the the Office of International Students &amp; Scholars.<\/li><li>Keep your passport valid at least 6 months into the future at all times while in the US.<\/li><li>If you plan to transfer to another school, <a href=\"https:\/\/sunapsis.uri.edu\/istart\/controllers\/start\/StartEngine.cfm\">submit a SEVIS transfer out request<\/a>.<\/li><li>Do not begin off-campus employment without authorization.<\/li><li>If you change your physical address, update your new address on e-Campus within 10 days of moving.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For students visa holders only:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Always register for a full course of study as defined on our <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/global\/register-for-classes\/\">international registration page<\/a>.
