We do this by creating a diverse, safe and supportive community. We encourage students to become effective citizens and leaders and to celebrate their achievements and independence.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/graduate-school\/funding\/\">Financial aid<\/a> is available to qualified students in the form of assistantships, scholarships, fellowships and other awards. View the full list of financial award and funding opportunities.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/gsa\/\">The Graduate Student Association<\/a> (GSA) is a government body maintained by and for the graduate students of the University with the purpose of enhancing the academic, intellectual, and social opportunities of its members.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.urigau.org\/\">Graduate Assistants United<\/a> is the legally recognized bargaining unit for the approximately 600 graduate research and teaching assistants at the University of Rhode Island.
