Biography

Anna Schrecengost is a Ph.D. candidate at the Graduate School of Oceanography where she studies marine microbes that live without oxygen along the coasts of Southern New England. She received her B.S. in Biology and Biochemistry from Haverford College. Although her background is in STEM, she enjoys writing of all kinds, including creative nonfiction and sketch comedy, and recently she collaborated with a RISD student on an illustrated short story about her research. In her free time she enjoys playing basketball, swimming in the ocean, and brewing beer.
