{"id":1769,"date":"2022-10-30T16:27:34","date_gmt":"2022-10-30T20:27:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/gravity\/?p=1769"},"modified":"2022-10-30T16:27:38","modified_gmt":"2022-10-30T20:27:38","slug":"u%c2%b2grc-featured-at-mghpcc-booth-at-supercomputing-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/gravity\/u%c2%b2grc-featured-at-mghpcc-booth-at-supercomputing-22\/","title":{"rendered":"U\u00b2GRC featured at MGHPCC Booth at Supercomputing &#8217;22"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mghpcc.org\/\">Massachusetts Green High-Performance Computing Center<\/a>\u00a0(MGHPCC) is a collaboration of the five major research universities in Massachusetts including\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bu.edu\/\">Boston University<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/harvard.edu\/\">Harvard<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mit.edu\/\">MIT<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/neu.edu\/\">Northeastern<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/massachusetts.edu\/\">UMass<\/a>. The collaboration built a dedicated data center in 2012 located in Holyoke, MA that hosts the research computing infrastructure of these universities. In addition, the MGHPCC also leads other activities that enhance research computing in the region including submitting collaborative grant proposals, running regional workshops, maintaining a presence at international supercomputing conferences, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US annual <a href=\"https:\/\/sc22.supercomputing.org\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sc22.supercomputing.org\">supercomputing conference series SC22<\/a> offers an exhibit floor for Industry and academic Centers to showcase major computational research outcomes.
