Such signals could last hundreds to thousands of seconds and may not be well captured by standard waveform templates. The authors explore how the Cross-Correlation Algorithm (CoCoA) could support targeted follow-up searches, including searches prompted by candidate gravitational-wave events or electromagnetic observations of supernovae. INSPIRE record.

Joint inference for gravitational-wave signal and noise glitch: Method and application, by Shun Yin Cheung, Rhiannon Udall, Derek Davis, Paul D. Lasky, and Eric Thrane, introduces
bilby_glitch
, a pipeline for modeling gravitational-wave signals and detector glitches at the same time. Tests with simulated and real data show how conclusions about black-hole spin can depend on both the waveform model and the treatment of detector noise.
