Currently, the University of Rhode Island Greek community includes <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ten sorority houses<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">six fraternity house<\/span>s with members living in residence.<\/p><\/article><\/div><\/section>\n<h2>Our Housing Experience<\/h2>\n<p>Each house is managed by the individual organization&#8217;s housing corporation and owned privately, but resides on University land. All of the organizations employ House Directors*, live-in adult advisors who live in residence.&nbsp;<em>Most<\/em> chapters expect members to live in for at least 1 year, unless all spots in the house are filled. Please ask about your chapter&#8217;s living requirement before you join the organization.<\/p>\n<p><em>Most<\/em> houses have a full kitchen and chef to prepare meals Monday through Friday. Room &amp; Board costs for Fraternity &amp; Sorority Housing is at or below the cost of living in Housing &amp; Residential Life. Room &amp; board costs, as well as housing agreements, are managed by the House Corporations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>House Directors are an important resource for our Greek community. &nbsp;They assist the chapter by creating a safe living and learning environment.&nbsp; House Chefs create a dining experience for live-in members, and special events coordinated at the house.<br \/>\nIf you are interested in being a House Director or House Chef, <a href=\"janet_pawlina@uri.edu\">Submit your Resume Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>*Note that House Directors and House Chefs are hired by the individual house corporations. &nbsp;Once your information is submitted, it will be shared with the housing corporation board for the purposes of hiring. &nbsp;Resumes are kept on file within the Greek Affairs\/FMA office.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Fraternity Manager&#8217;s Association<\/h2>\n<p>At the University of Rhode Island, we are fortunate to have the support of the <strong>Fraternity Manager&#8217;s Association<\/strong> <strong>(FMA)<\/strong>. <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Fraternity Managers Association (FMA) is a 501C(3) cooperative purchasing group with facility &amp;
