Eleven sororities at the University of Rhode Island are governed by the Panhellenic Association<\/em>. Every woman who is a member of one of the eleven NPC sororities on campus is a member of the Panhellenic Association. The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the women\u2019s sorority system at the University of Rhode Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the governing body of the Panhellenic Council. All policies instituted by the Panhellenic Council have been developed in accordance with NPC policies and recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is a member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, which governs the nine historically Black Greek Organizations, also know at the Divine 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
