Harold Geneen states, \u201cLeadership cannot really be taught. It can only be learned.\u201d This is why we are so lucky to have a leader like Anthony in greek life. In pursuing a leadership minor at URI, Rampone says he has received an amazing foundation to improve himself as a leader, and inspiration from those in the program. The role most impactful to his leadership is when Anthony opened a new branch office for his company over the summer break. From recruiting to hiring to payroll he shared the most beneficial skills he had were interpersonal problem-solving and leadership. From this experience he said he learned that, \u201ccollege teaches you how to work for a company, but leadership teaches you how to run one\u201d. Numerous organizations on campus have benefited from Rampone\u2019s leadership such as the Interfraternity Council (IFC), SOLC, Northwest Challenge Course, and most of all his chapter. A strong leader will not run from a problem, but envision a better outcome in solving it. Nobody embodies this trait more than Anthony Rampone. Though he is involved in many organizations on campus, he is now focusing on greek life. This is because when he came to URI he saw greek life as the largest, most impactful student organization, but also saw the most room for improvement. His personal motto to be an effective leader is to, \u201cbe there leading for others, and not yourself\u201d We are very appreciative to have a leader such as Anthony Rampone as Vice President of IFC and representative of our core value of leadership<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
