From the extreme environments of Antarctica to the waters of Narragansett Bay just outside of its doors, the Ann Gall Durbin Aquarium on the URI Bay Campus is able to create small replicas of the natural world, and can emulate almost any condition on the planet. This allows scientists to conduct research on topics like the health of fisheries and how climate change might impact the base of the food chain. It also provides hands-on ocean science experience for students of all ages.<\/p>\n
