Growing up, Bennett Koffa was drawn to pop culture as a way of bringing together people of diverse backgrounds. At URI, he created his multi-platform digital blog and radio show, BennettKnows<\/a>, that at one point received as many as 21,000 views in a single day. While many of the blog’s topics are lighthearted and fun, it also explores serious issues such as white appropriation of black hip-hop culture. At the Harrington School School of Communication and Media, the communication studies<\/a> major found the resources he needed to explore his passions and move closer to his dreams.
