This is an in-house position.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Oxford, MA<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help Editor obtain photos and captions for written articles<\/li>\n<li>Help with feature ideas for primary section of magazine, with potential of writing feature articles and news stories<\/li>\n<li>Test products for product reviews<\/li>\n<li>Edit content in magazine as needed<\/li>\n<li>Participate in editorial meetings<\/li>\n<li>Help with cover heads<\/li>\n<li>Answer and direct editorial calls<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to content management of Equine Journal and HorseCity websites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Basic Requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College degree or current major in journalism, communications, or related field or at least 1 \u2013 3 years experience in the magazine or publishing industry<\/li>\n<li>Superb writing and editing skills, with a strategic mindset and creative flair for generating story ideas and framing articles in ways that server readers\u2019 interests while benefiting the publication<\/li>\n<li>Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>A strong knowledge of the web and social media, and an in-depth understanding of Facebook, WordPress, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the equine industry is a must<\/li>\n<li>A great attitude while working under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested candidates should send cover letters, resumes, and one writing sample to:<\/p>\n<p>Elisabeth Gilbride, General Manager and Executive Editor<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:Elisabeth.gilbride@equinejournal.com\">Elisabeth.gilbride@equinejournal.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>P.O.
