Freeman currently serves as the sports reporter for the athletics department at URI. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To gain exposure to the world of sports, Freeman has participated in several key internships at local radio and television news stations such as <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc6.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WLNE ABC6<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/turnto10.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WJAR Channel 10<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.630wpro.com\/the-gresh-show\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe Gresh Show\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> on WPRO 99.7 FM. At his current internship with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/985thesportshub.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">98.5 The Sports Hub<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Freeman produces and cuts audio during the the home football games of the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Freeman believes that social media, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StonePFreeman\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Twitter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in particular, is a great way sports reporters can report and reach fans and spectators. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhen I am in the locker-room with Tom Brady,\u201d Freeman said, \u201cit is a lot cooler to be able to post that than just going home to tell mom and dad about it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Freeman has also seen the benefits of networking on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cOne day, I was sitting in my dorm watching the local news,\u201d Freeman said. \u201cThen, I see a guy reporting at the Ryan Center. So, I thought, that is right here. And, I tweeted \u2018@nickcoy has the best job in the world\u2019. His response to me was \u2018 I got a pretty good gig.\u2019 I tweeted back \u2018can I get a follow?\u2019 Sure enough, two years later I interned for him.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition to his URI athletics duties and his internship, Freeman recently created his own podcast, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Stone Freeman Podcast<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which is available on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/the-stone-freeman-podcast\/id1437969601?mt=2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">iTunes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/user-255701577\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SoundCloud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
