He oversees a portfolio of more than 40 NASA-funded participatory science projects, reaching millions of volunteers.\u00a0 Marc received his bachelor&#8217;s degree in physics from Harvard and his Ph.D. in astronomy from Caltech, then studied at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics as a Michelson Fellow and at Princeton University as a Hubble Fellow. Kuchner is also known for his optical inventions, which are used on the Webb space telescope.
