Trained in international law, Dr. Aganaba has conducted space governance research across five countries, examining how legitimacy, institutional design, and strategic sovereignty shape humanity’s expansion beyond Earth. Her work bridges international law, systems thinking, and futures scholarship to develop frameworks for governance readiness under technological scale, which assess how institutions absorb, or fail to absorb, legitimacy strain under asymmetry and expansion. She has previously served as affiliate faculty with ASU’s Interplanetary Initiative and held a courtesy appointment at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
