{"id":3499,"date":"2020-08-24T11:58:19","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T15:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/healthservices\/?page_id=3499"},"modified":"2022-05-27T11:24:20","modified_gmt":"2022-05-27T15:24:20","slug":"tracker","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/healthservices\/covid-19\/tracker\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 Tracker"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"type-intro\">As COVID-19 moves to an endemic stage, the University has shifted its testing regimen from conducting routine surveillance testing to concentrating on providing same-day testing for students who have symptoms of COVID-19 and\/or those who have been exposed to a case and identified as a close contact. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given this, the COVID-19 tracker is no longer an accurate representation of the virus in our community and has been retired in favor of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 Community Risk Levels.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>COVID-19 Community Risk Levels<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With current high levels of vaccination and high levels of population immunity from both vaccination and infections, the risk of medically significant disease, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19 is greatly reduced for most people. At the same time, we know that some people and communities, such as our older adults, people who are immunocompromised, and people with severe and\/or multiple health conditions, are at higher risk for serious illness and face challenging decisions navigating a world with COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CDC has developed COVID-19 Community Risk Levels to help communities and individuals make decisions based on their local context and their unique needs. These levels take into account a combination of three metrics \u2014 new COVID-19 hospital admissions per 100,000 population in the past 7 days, the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients, and total new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find the COVID-19 Community Risk Level for your county below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-cdc-widget=\"COVIDCountyCheck\" data-horizontal=\"true\" ><\/div>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/tools.cdc.gov\/1M1B\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n&nbsp;\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Rhode Island\u2019s Kingston Campus, its Narragansett Bay Campus and its W.
