To make a tele-health appointment, call 401-874-5954, or schedule online via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uri.medicatconnect.com\/\">Online Student Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Concerns<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Energy<\/strong><br>Nutrition counseling can provide tips for proper fueling throughout the day and help you feel healthier and more energized. We can help you establish a personalized plan that focuses on what to eat and when.<\/li><li><strong>General Nutrition<\/strong><br>Maybe you just want to eat well, improve fitness, navigate the dining halls, or need help with vegetarian and vegan diets. We can also help with buying and preparing foods.<\/li><li><strong>Medical Nutrition Therapy<\/strong><br>Nutrition counseling can help address gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel, Crohn\u2019s disease, or gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD); cardiovascular risk factors such as elevated cholesterol, hypertension, and\/or high triglycerides; diabetes, pre-diabetes, and hypoglycemia;  and other conditions like food allergies, celiac disease, lactose and gluten intolerance.<\/li><li><strong>Weight Management<\/strong><br>Students may need help with unintended weight loss or weight gain. Using a non-diet approach, students can be helped using a variety of methods such as intuitive and mindful eating.<\/li><li><strong>Sports Performanc<\/strong>e<br>We can help athletes achieve optimal performance through fueling and hydrating their bodies, increasing muscle mass, recovery nutrition, or pre-event eating recommendations.<\/li><li><strong>Disordered Eating \/ Eating Disorders<\/strong><br>If you are experiencing problems with food and body image, you may be afraid to eat, or eating too much.
