It’s getting closer! We are excited to welcome new students to URI and to welcome back our returning students to campus.
All new resident student IDs will be active on January 18th for the spring semester. If you need to arrive a few days earlier, for any reason, once you have your housing assignment, you can log in to MyHousing and complete the Winter Break/J-Term Housing form to activate your ID to access your room.
For our current students, if your personal circumstances require you to move earlier, we can accommodate that. Please log into MyHousing and complete the J Term application to activate the ID to access your room. It usually takes just one business day to process. Campus Dining meal plans are active on Saturday, January 20th.
Winters in New England can be unpredictable. It’s a good idea to ensure the weather will not impact your travel plans. If you need to adjust your move-in date, you can complete the J Term application to move in ahead of any weather event. Also, be sure to sign up for official URI Alerts.
