Your selection time is based on your classification (Rising Junior\/Senior or Rising Sophomore) and the number of credits you have earned through the previous Fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rising Juniors\/Seniors will receive their selection times in descending credit order (highest credits receive the earliest times). Rising Sophomores will then receive their selection times in descending credit order. This means all Rising Juniors\/Seniors will have an opportunity to select housing before Rising Sophomores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your selection time is the earliest time you may select your assignment, but you have until the end of the Room Selection period to make your choice. The earlier you select, the more options are likely to be available. If another member of your group has an earlier selection time, they may select for everyone in your group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spaces in suites (Eddy) and apartments (Brookside, Garrahy, and Wiley) are considered mixed-gender. If you select one of these options, students of other genders may select any remaining spaces in the suite or apartment. For example, a group of five students may select five rooms in a 10-person suite while another group of five students\u2014regardless of gender\u2014selects the remaining five rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spaces for specific group sizes will run out; there are no late releases of housing inventory. Initially, you will only see building and room options that exactly match the size of your group. For example, a group of four matched students cannot see or select five-person options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you or your group goes to select an assignment and no options are available for your current group size, rest assured there is still room for you. You may first try adjusting your group size by adding or removing members. Otherwise, at the end of Room Selection Week 1, you will have the opportunity to select and partially fill any remaining available spaces as an individual while others select the remaining beds around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Choose wisely!<\/strong> Once you or your group selects an assignment, no immediate changes will be made. A Room Change Request form will be available in May\/June (details will be emailed later). You may also cancel your housing assignment entirely, incurring charges according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/housing\/2026-2027-housing-and-residential-life-cancellation-policy\/\">2026\u20132027 Housing Cancellation Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"footable_parent_16174\"\n
