Humanities Faculty Research Grant<\/h2>

Grants up to $1,000 available to assist tenure-track faculty & ad hoc continuing lecturers<\/strong> with research costs associated with travel to archives, the purchase of technology, payment for translations & obtaining documents<\/strong> for study. <\/p><\/div><\/div>

Humanities Subvention Grant<\/h2>

Grants up to $1,000 per faculty<\/strong> member per project available to assist tenure-track faculty & ad hoc continuing lecturers working with a scholarly press or exhibitor<\/strong> that requires the author to share in the cost of publication or exhibition. Assistance can include such costs as indexing permissions or reproducing photographs & expenses related to exhibiting artwork.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

“The Winnie” Grant<\/h2>

Grants up to $3,000 available to assist tenure-track faculty, ad hoc continuing lecturers & graduate students<\/strong> in research or teaching projects that include humanities content. Priority given to public humanities projects.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Humanities Graduate Research Grant<\/h2>

Grants up to $1,000 available to graduate<\/strong> students<\/strong> working toward the completion of a\u00a0master’s thesis, doctoral dissertations,\u00a0or other major projects or research initiatives<\/strong>. Applicants must be enrolled for thesis\/dissertation credits at the time of the grant award & making progress toward degree completion.
Grants may be used to cover research costs associated with travel to archives, purchases of technology, payment for translations, or obtaining documents for study. Applications related to larger projects outside thesis\/dissertation also considered.\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Humanities Graduate Conference Travel Grant<\/h2>

Graduate students<\/strong> in the humanities may apply for funding of up to $500 to attend a conference at which they are presenting their research, or an academic workshop related to their research.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Visiting Scholar Grant<\/h2>

Funding support for scholarly humanities speakers to visit our campus. The Center limits funding to free & public events. Preference for funding is given to those events involving students in one or more classes. Funding is limited to amounts up to $500. Applicants previously funded by the Center who have not yet submitted a funding report are not eligible to apply.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
