With this book, Rollo-Koster&#8217;s intervenes in the study of the Great Schism by looking at the event through the lens of social drama. By gathering cultural, artistic, liturgical, and literary evidence, alongside 25 years of Vatican archives, Rollo-Koster humanizes the Great Schism and shows how it influenced political thought and worked to achieve unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1655\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-30-at-12.09.41-PM-1024x486.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10082\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is published by Cambridge University Press and is currently in print in Europe and will be available in the US in May.
