Baked oats, oat cookies, oat cakes, oatmeal with fancy toppings, <strong>MILKSHAKES WITH OATS???<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Personally, I\u2019ve only ever made oatmeal in the microwave\u2026. So naturally, I was super curious to try some of these out. I made it a goal this semester to eat healthier, but I know I tend to have a bit of a sweet tooth. These recipes are perfect for a late-night snack or to curb your sweet tooth like me. And the best part &#8211; a 30 ounce can of Quaker Oats is only about $5 at Stop &amp; Shop, so my little oat-experiment didn\u2019t crush my college student budget. <em><strong>You HAVE to make these for yourself.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><b>Hot Cocoa Baked Oats<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wow &#8211; I didn\u2019t even know this could be possible. I found this recipe on this girl\u2019s page on Instagram who eats entirely gluten and dairy-free. Her handle is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/faiths_fresh\/?hl=en\">@faiths_fresh_<\/a>, and she posts awesome recipes with all-natural ingredients. <strong><em>Here it is!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bd cup oats<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 tbsp cocoa powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 tbsp sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 tsp baking powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bd tsp cinnamon<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bc tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bd mashed banana<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bd cup almond milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Optional: marshmallows and chocolate chips<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Preheat oven to 350 degrees<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Transfer to an oven-safe dish, add marshmallows and chocolate chips <em>(optional)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bake for 25-30 minutes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3844 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1178\/IMG_4488-203x300.jpg\" alt=\"Chocolate and marshmallow oats\" width=\"203\" height=\"300\">Full disclosure: I couldn\u2019t find marshmallows in the grocery store, so I used Peeps as a substitute. I thought it would come out cute when they melted\u2026but really it was a massacre of marshmallow bunnies. I am just going to let you look at the pretty picture the creator took instead&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><b>Cake Batter Protein Milkshake<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I will admit &#8211; I was skeptical about this one. It seemed too good to be true. I was quite wrong.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Found this gem on Pinterest, and it came from the site plantyou.com&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3829\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3829\" style=\"width: 174px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3829 \" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1178\/IMG_4477-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Milkshake with Cake Batter flavor\" width=\"174\" height=\"232\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3829\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yes, my roommates and I did the David Dobrik puzzle. We won $0.25<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bc cup oats<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 cup cashew milk <em>(I used almond milk &#8211; worked just fine)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 frozen banana<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 scoop vanilla protein powder<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s really simple. Just blend and enjoy!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And obviously, top with whipped cream \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><b>\u201cBlooberry\u201d Oats<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I got this recipe from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tracesoats\/?hl=en\">@tracesoats<\/a> (Instagram and Tiktok), who has dedicated an entire social media career to making different oat recipes. His whole page is great, but I personally tried this one out because I bought a massive amount of blueberries the last time I went to the grocery store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2154 cup oats<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2154 cup water &amp; a splash of milk <em>(I used almond)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00bd tsp maple syrup<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2153 cup frozen blueberries<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Splash of vanilla extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2 tbsp protein powder <em>(optional)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Toppings I used:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PB2 (or peanut butter)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">More blueberries&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Honey<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3823 alignleft\" style=\"font-style: normal;font-weight: 400;font-family: Charter, Georgia, serif;font-size: 20px\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1178\/IMG_4484-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Oatmeal with blueberries\" width=\"320\" height=\"291\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions: <\/strong><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(My safe place &#8211; the microwave)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mix oats, water, milk, maple syrup, frozen blueberries, and vanilla extract together<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Microwave for 2 minutes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Let the oats sit for 3 minutes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Microwave again for 1 minute<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stir in protein powder <em>(optional)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add toppings<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em><strong>OK &#8211; I think I have had enough oats for now.
