The Inner Space Center is founded by Dr. Dwight Coleman and Dr. Robert Ballard. In 2008\/2009 the ISC supports the E\/V <em>Nautilus<\/em> and NOAA ship <em>Okeanos Explorer<\/em> as the first two telepresence-enabled vessels, with ship-to-shore connectivity for science and outreach as central mission components.
