Even if you have taken a course at URI before (or have previously applied to take one), please follow the instructions listed below to take a URI Winter J Term class this year as a non-matriculating student.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-card-wrapper\"><a class=\"cl-card   right\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/jterm\/register\/new-students\/transferring-credit\/\" title=\"\"><div class=\"cl-card-container text\"><div class=\"cl-card-text\"><h2>Transferring Credits<\/h2><p>Find the documents and information you need to get credit for your course.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.uri.edu\/non-degree-application\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Non-Degree Application Form<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you see an error message, please try closing your browser (or using a different web browser or device) and then try again. If you continue to have trouble accessing the form, please email <a href=\"mailto:slaurentkings@uri.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sky Laurent-Kingsley<\/a> for further troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>Please note, even if you have already completed a URI non-degree application form for a previous academic term (fall, spring, summer, or J Term), your existing URI e-Campus account will not be activated for course registration for this J Term until you have completed a new version of this application form specifically for the 2026 J term.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"cl-button block-level \" href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.uri.edu\/non-degree-application\" title=\"\">Non-Degree Application Form<\/a><strong>Step 2: Receive Your URI ID and Set Up e-Campus Access<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Within three business days of the submission of your application form, you will receive your URI Student ID# via an email from <a href=\"mailto:slaurentkings@uri.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sky Laurent-Kingsley<\/a>, Specialist for URI Summer Sessions &amp; Winter J Term. Be sure to check your spam folder for receipt of this notification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Set Up Your eCampus Account:<\/strong> You must have a URI eCampus account before registering for classes. If you\u2019re a completely new URI student, <a href=\"https:\/\/its.uri.edu\/getting-started-students\/#:~:text=To%20set%20up%20your%20Single%20Sign%2DOn%20(SSO),Gmail%20account%20*%20Microsoft%20tools%20*%20Brightspace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">create your eCampus account<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/its.uri.edu\/getting-started-students\/#:~:text=To%20set%20up%20your%20Single%20Sign%2DOn%20(SSO),Gmail%20account%20*%20Microsoft%20tools%20*%20Brightspace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/its.uri.edu\/getting-started-students\/%23:~:text%3DTo%2520set%2520up%2520your%2520Single%2520Sign%252DOn%2520(SSO),Gmail%2520account%2520*%2520Microsoft%2520tools%2520*%2520Brightspace&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1759850049089000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3G51UTwxhqUVoRQSsoQPmR\">.<\/a> If you have taken a course at URI previously, please proceed to Step 3 or reach out to <a href=\"https:\/\/its.uri.edu\/it-organization\/it-service-desk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/its.uri.edu\/it-organization\/it-service-desk\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1759850049089000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1R40KBFSPrC_Mj6tdDB47G\">URI IT Services<\/a> for support in reactivating your accounts with our new SSO process.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Activate Your URI Single Sign-On (SSO)<\/strong>: Once your eCampus account is created (or if you already have one), make sure your Single Sign-On (SSO) is set up. Make sure to access Gmail within several hours of registration. If needed, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/password.uri.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/password.uri.edu\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1759850049089000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0icTX-VNWz6gvNXvGiDW4w\">Change your password<\/a> page.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Your URI email will be used for important notifications before and throughout your course, so monitor it closely. <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">URI Enrollment Services will use your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">uri.edu<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> email to notify you when your e-Bill is ready to view and pay in e-Campus, your professor will use it to alert you of important class information, and URI administrators will use it for URI Winter J Term notifications.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you encounter any issues related to your URI e-Campus or <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">uri.edu<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> accounts, please contact the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">URI IT Service Desk<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at 401-874-4357 or <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">helpdesk@uri.edu<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Your school will have an <a href=\"https:\/\/tes.collegesource.com\/publicview\/TES_publicview01.aspx?rid=1c0bd699-6f8b-42fc-ac83-51408ff760a1&amp;aid=c28df682-d5df-4a28-99b1-9f25280c1db2\">online database of courses accepted for credit<\/a> from outside institutions and a transfer credit form that you will need to complete and submit to your school if you plan to take a URI course that has not been previously accepted by your school.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Completing such a form often requires a course syllabus and\/or URI course description. Search all official <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/catalog\/#\/courses\">URI Course Descriptions<\/a>. For a copy of a URI syllabus, email the instructor listed for the class.
