You will be trained to assess, design, and implement exercise programs for individuals who are apparently healthy, and those with controlled disease. You will learn to evaluate health behaviors and risk factors, conduct fitness assessments, write appropriate exercise prescriptions and motivate individuals to modify negative health habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This option is for students considering careers or graduate degrees in health care professions including exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, physician\u2019s assistant, chiropractic, and occupational therapy. You may also choose advanced study in the allied health professions, including exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, physical therapy, physician\u2019s assistant, chiropractic medicine or occupational therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Core Exercise Science Curriculum Courses (47 credits)<\/strong><br>Required of all exercise science students. Courses include Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Physiology of Exercise and Exercise Testing and Prescription.
