We have an <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/kinesiology\/meet\/courtney-mackey\/\">Internship Coordinator<\/a> who will work with you to find a position that&#8217;s suited to your strengths and interests. The internship experience is a critical part of the Exercise Science curriculum, as it gives you hands-on experience that may be applied to clinical hours that are often required for advanced graduate program admission or to give you valuable work experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To set up your internship experience, you will identify a site based on your professional interest area (e.g. physical\/occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, etc.) and work with both the site supervisor and the Kinesiology Internship Coordinator to determine possible placement. You will be supervised by qualified professionals at your internship site, and also by our Kinesiology Internship Coordinator. <a title=\"Internship Site Contacts\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/kinesiology\/internships\/internship-site-contacts\/\">See a list of potential internship sites here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To qualify for this internship you must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 in Kinesiology courses and junior or senior standing. These internships can take place in one of three locations: Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne.
