Luckson was born in Nigeria and migrated to Providence, RI when he was 10 years old. Luckson attended Charles E. Shea High School in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and was accepted into the University of Rhode Island (URI) via the Talent Development program in 2011. During his time as an undergraduate student at URI he served as the Recruitment Chairman and President of Brothers On a New Direction, Co-Founder of Diversifying Individuals Via Education Rhode Island Conference, a URI 101 Mentor, Resident Advisor in Gorham hall, member of the Student Organization Leadership Consultants and a Memorial Union Building Manager. As an undergraduate student Luckson was fortunate enough to have mentors and peers who aided in his overall development from his 1st year at URI till he graduated in 2016. As a result of this involvement in this fellowship and his experiences at URI he chose to pursue a career in Student Affairs and Higher Education. Luckson is currently in his 2nd year in URI’s Master’s degree program in College Student Personnel.  He currently works as a graduate assistant with the Center for Student Leadership Development and as a Assistant House Director at the Sigma Chi Fraternity House.
