The CSLD seeks to progress as innovators for experiential engagement and enriching assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Values<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Grounded in the Social Change Model of Leadership Development (Higher Education Research Institute), Relational Leadership Model (Komives, Lucas &amp; McMahon), and Servant Leadership (Greenleaf), the URI Center for Student Leadership Development values:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>engaged and experiential learning through a constructivist approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>inclusion, social justice and civic engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ethical and value-based leadership and relationship building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>innovative assessment and presentation models<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><section class=\"cl-wrapper cl-boxout-wrapper\"><div class=\"cl-boxout  \">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leadership Studies Advisory Committee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1996, the members of LSAC worked to submit the original proposal for URI&#8217;s minor in Leadership Studies to Faculty Senate. Current LSAC members &#8211; a group of faculty, staff and URI administrators &#8211; continue to provide oversight and support regarding the academic needs of our interdisciplinary minor in Leadership Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/human-development\/meet\/katie-branch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Katie Branch<\/a>, Human Development and Family Science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/harrington.uri.edu\/meet\/geoff-leatham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Geoff Leatham<\/a>, Harrington School of Communication and Media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<section class=\"cl-wrapper cl-boxout-wrapper\"><div class=\"cl-boxout  \">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Campus and Community Partners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CSLD maintains strong relationships with a variety of URI affiliated academic and Student Affairs departments in addition to local and national organizations.
