The Technical Services Department is one of two academic departments in the University Library college; the other is <a title=\"Public Services\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/library\/public-services\/\">Public Services<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Technical Services Department consists of faculty and staff members in the following units of the library: Acquisitions, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/library-digital-initiatives\/\">Digital Initiatives<\/a>, Metadata and Content Management, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/library\/collections\/government-publications\/\">Government Publications<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/specialcollections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University Archives and Special Collections<\/a>.
