While working towards her Bachelors in Environmental Studies at UD, Emily researched the economic value of increased ocean observing and better inundation models in the Mid-Atlantic coastal zone and the social perceptions of risk of sea level rise. She also worked with MARACOOS (Mid-Atlantic Regional Association Coastal Ocean Observing System) for two years as a stakeholder liaison.
