Relevant behaviors include support for policy and participation in activist groups, as well as individual actions that directly impact the environment. The resource management community, however, often neglects what the social sciences know about human decision making and behavior. This course provides an introduction to common models of environmental behavior, which include factors such as values, knowledge, risk perceptions, and social pressure.
