C., 21 &#8211; 23 June, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Becker presented \u201cInspiring Transformational Thinking for Maritime Systems Resilience: Port of Providence, Rhode Island, Demonstration Project,\u201d during a session on <em>Resilience\u2014Tools and Needs, <\/em>and also moderated a session on <em>Resilience\u2014Seaports and Climate, <\/em>where Mr. McIntosh presented his dissertation research in progress, \u201cToward a Comparative Index of Seaport Climate-Vulnerability.\u201d Mr. Kretsch presented, \u201cLeadership, Responsibility, and Incentive for Long-Term Hurricane Resilience: Stakeholder Perceptions at the Port of Providence,\u201d during a student honor panel presided over by the executive director of the US CMTS, Helen Brohl.<\/p>\n<p>The Transportation Research Board is one of seven major programs of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The mission of the Transportation Research Board is to increase the benefits that transportation contributes to society by providing leadership in transportation innovation and progress through research and information exchange, conducted within a setting that is objective, interdisciplinary, and multimodal.
