Last month, Gerald Bove (Jerry) and Elizabeth L. Mclean, both researchers in the University of Rhode Island\u2019s Marine Affairs Department, presented at the Fifth Biennial Marine Transportation System Research and Technology Conference entitled \u201c<em>Transforming the Marine Transportation System through Multimodal Freight Analytics<\/em>\u201d. Their presentations were well received within a panel session entitled \u201cDecision Support: Resilience\u201d. Elizabeth presented preliminary results on the \u201cBarriers to Climate and Extreme Weather Adaptations for Seaports\u201d and Jerry presented on \u201cA GIS Inventory and Exposure Assessment for Critical Coastal Transport Infrastructure Land Use in the Caribbean Small Island Developing States\u201d.
