Disclaimer: The findings discussed are lab based and further studies need to be done.

The increase in cancer cases in developed countries has made looking for research answers much more important. The new outlook in the search for a cure seems to be natural products from plants and trees. Well, what can be more natural than a maple tree?

The investigation into this area has lead to discoveries such as anticancer qualities which most notably include preventing cancer cells from ever forming and stopping The growth of already existing cancer cells.

A study at The University of Rhode Island is looking at known antioxidants calledgallotannins and how they effect cancer.

This research study has found that among many gallotannins, certain ones were able to stop the cancer from growing. They also had strength against the new cancer cells compared to normal cells. While this finding isn’t proven, it is the first step to insight if that maple products help prevent cancer in breast and colon cancers.
